From the Director – December 2025

Dear Summit Free Public Library patrons and community members,

I am delighted to share a special save the date: on Saturday, February 28, the Foundation will host an afternoon of jazz and generosity at the Summit Elks Lodge featuring the brilliant Carrie Jackson. This fundraiser will support the furnishing of the Library’s iconic Rotunda, one of the most vibrant and well-loved spaces in our building. It’s where people gather to read and study, connect with friends, attend concerts, enjoy children’s programs, and participate in cultural events. By joining us at this wonderful afternoon of music and community, you can help make this cherished space even more welcoming, comfortable, and inspiring for all who walk through our doors. Tickets will go on sale in the new year. We hope you’ll celebrate with us!

As we enter the season of giving, we humbly invite you to consider supporting the Summit Free Public Library Foundation and its 2026 Capital Campaign. Your gift helps ensure we can continue offering the spaces, services, and experiences that inform, enrich, and inspire Summit. We hope you can join us in supporting the future of the Library we all treasure. You can make a gift by clicking here to donate via PayPal, or by sending a check to:
