Youth Services Highlight — February 2025

For our Teen nights this month, join us for an epic Dungeons & Dragons campaign! Open to 6th – 12th graders, our weekly adventure kicks off on Tuesday, February 4th at 6pm. Dive into a world of magic, monsters and mystery as you create your own characters and embark on unforgettable quests. Whether you’re a seasoned adventure or first time player, there’s a place for you at the table! Come roll some dice, tell stories, and make new friends! Please register online!

The after school program CATSS (Cool Awesome Teen Students of Summit) meets every school day from 3 to 4:30 PM in the Hickok Room. If you’re an LCJSMS student looking for something to do, join us for a variety of activities including homework help, anime viewing, board and video games, or simply hanging out with friends.

Starting this month, we’re also offering the opportunity to sign up for Wednesday community service through our volunteer program. Space is limited, so be sure to register early! We are always looking for teen volunteers. Our teen volunteer program is open to Grades 6-12. There are a wide variety of ways to help us, from writing book reviews, to assisting with programs, to reading aloud with younger children.  Visit the library’s website to sign up.

We especially would like to invite our high school students to participate in our Teen Volunteer Programs. High schoolers may take our survey to help us plan our Adulting 101 program just for high schoolers. They are also welcome to sign up and be Homework Helpers for elementary and middle school students.
