Happy New Year! We are looking forward to providing new and improved services in 2018. In January we will be announcing a Books on Wheels program that will bring library materials to homebound adults utilizing SAGE’s Meals-on-Wheels volunteers. Thanks to a grant from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, our Sunday afternoon concert series will continue as will exciting lectures funded by the Friends of the Library.
Thanks to a grant from the Summit Area Public Foundation, the library will be sponsoring a college level lecture series for seniors and adults on Friday afternoons in the winter and spring of 2018. Classes will be held on Friday afternoons from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the lower level meeting room. Watch for more details on the instructors and topics in the New Year. The Summit Area Public Foundation has provided grants in the Summit area since 1972. The Foundation supports programs and projects in the areas of health, education, arts & culture, special needs, the needs of the elderly and civic or community projects. The lectures are free but registration will be required for this series.
Keep tuned into the library web page, the Summit Beacon, Facebook and other sources for all the happenings at the Summit Library. We look forward to serving you in 2018.
