Remote Access to Ancestry ending on Dec. 31st

This entry has been published on December 15, 2021 and may be out of date.

In March 2020 ProQuest and Ancestry made the unprecedented decision to grant public libraries temporary remote access to Ancestry Library Edition. ProQuest and Ancestry happily made this decision to help libraries and their patrons navigate this challenging time. Libraries were not charged an additional fee for remote access.

After nearly 2 years of temporary access, Ancestry has made the difficult decision to end remote access for Ancestry Library Edition at the end of 2021. Onsite access remains unchanged. We hope you will continue to enjoy this free resource the next time you visit the library.

We also offer Heritage Quest Online, which is available remotely and is powered by Ancestry. If you have any questions, please give us a call at the Information Desk or drop us a line.
