A word from our new Director:
Dear Summit Free Public Library patrons and community members,
My name is Amy Behr-Shields, and I am the new Director of the Summit Free Public Library. I am excited to be writing my first of many messages to you, our community members.
This month I am pleased to announce that SFPL is launching an automatic renewal process for all physical library materials. The Library will automatically renew materials for customers on the day the materials are due. If materials cannot be renewed, customers will receive their due notices as usual. In today’s world, everyone is busy! We are glad to be able to take this one thing off your mind and give you more time to enjoy your materials. You can find more details about automatic renewals in the “Services” section at the bottom of this newsletter.
As temperatures start to warm, I hope you will take the opportunity to visit us at the Library! I am very eager to get to know you all, and to learn how the Library can be of greater service to the residents of Summit.
As I work to get myself acclimated, please feel free to contact me at abs@summitlibrary.org or (908) 277-9455, or simply stop me when you see me in the Library or around Summit.
Sincerely,
Amy Behr-Shields
Director
