Candy Land Service Project for Teens: Now thru October 15

This entry has been published on October 1, 2021 and may be out of date.

Dear Middle and High School Students…

We need your help.

  • Do you need community service credit?
  • Do you like arts & crafts?
  • Have you ever worked on stage crew or set design for your school play or for any community theatre program?

If you have answered yes to at least two of these questions, our CATSS community service project might be for you!
From October 1-15, Ms. Lisa needs your help with creating props for the library’s Life-Sized Candy Land program, which will take place on Saturday, October 16. You will be creating extra-large props that look like different kinds of candy, trees, and other items to decorate the library’s Lower Level Meeting Room for Candy Land.

On Friday, October 15, Ms. Lisa needs all hands on deck to help her set up the Lower Level Meeting Room after school for Life-Sized Candy Land as well.

The bonus is that you will earn 1.5-2 hrs of community service for participating. If you are late for the community service project, however, your hours will count when you report to the library.
