Are you a solo entrepreneur, looking to start your own business, or simply need a quiet space to work? Do you need to get out of your house, schedule a meeting, or network with a small group?
Did you know that Summit Free Public Library provides this space free of charge and all you need is a Summit Library card? If you live or work in Summit, library cards are free of charge and easy to obtain.
Quiet Study Rooms are available to reserve for up to three hours per day and up to a month in advance. Each room has the capacity to seat 4-6 people and is equipped with everything you need in an office or co-working space: free Wi-fi access, a table (with outlets for computers), and chairs, a whiteboard, a DVD/Blu-ray player, and a Smart TV. The library also offers free scanning and notary services and supplies low-cost faxing and photocopying in black and white, and color.
Librarians are always available to help with services and supplies, and to assist in accessing resources and materials for patrons. Librarians are also available to train patrons to use the proprietary business and other databases—which are accessible outside the library as well as inside–in addition to delivering research services.
The library subscribes to over 100 magazines in print (and over 30 titles in electronic format) from a wide variety of genres, including business. Back issues can be checked out and automatically renewed twice, if the patron desires. The library subscribes to major local, national, and some international newspapers. Books of all genres, including books on business topics, are kept up to date and can be checked out for almost a month and renewed twice. The library is open to the public all seven days of the week.
