Part-Time Technical Services Assistant
DESCRIPTION:
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support the Library’s technical services operations, including acquisitions, materials processing, pick-lists, delivery coordination, and other technical services functions.
REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:
● Assist with acquisitions and mending materials as necessary.
● Process daily pick lists and handle delivery preparation / unpacking.
● Process new and existing library materials for circulation.
● Perform item maintenance.
● Circulation duties, as assigned.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience / familiarity with ILS systems, materials processing, and understanding of library workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma (or GED) and three years of experience in library or other customer service work, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Title: Technical Services Assistant
Location/Department: Summit Free Public Library/Technical Services
Reports to: Beata Barrasso, Head of Technical Services / System Administrator
Library Type: Public
Hourly Rate: $22.66
Schedule: 25 hours per week
Mondays 9AM – 3PM
Tuesdays 10AM – 2PM
Wednesdays (hours alternate every other week) 10AM – 2PM / 5PM – 9PM
Thursdays 9AM – 4PM
Fridays 10AM – 2PM
